My first vegan donuts (which also taste non-vegans ).
1 cup of rice flour
1/4 – 1/3 cup agave syrup
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 cup vanilla soymilk / rice milk
2 tablespoons chia seeds
4-5 tablespoons of warm water
1/4 cup vegan / vegetable margarine
First of all, put the chia seeds and water in a small bowl and stir occasionally. After 10 minutes, the so-called “chi pudding” should have formed egg substitute – a gel-like substance.
Now add all liquid ingredients: soymilk, agave syrup, margarine, and this chi pudding into another bowl and combine well with each other.
Next, the whole thing is mixed with the dry ingredients baking soda and rice flour and put into a greased donut, muffin or as I put in a donut maker. Depending on the possibility, the baking time varies. In the pre-heated oven the donuts should take 12-15 minutes (depending on size).
