Cupcakes for Christmas

Ingredients

For the dough
80 g Dark chocolate approx. 50% cocoa content
200 g Flour
2 tbsp cocoa
1 teaspoon ginger bread spice
1 parcel baking powder
2 eggs
60 g sugar
50 ml vegetable oil
1 tbsp rum
180 ml Milk

For the clothing
200 g white chocolate about 30% cocoa content
75 ml Cream
50 g butter
100 g marzipan
1 tbsp powdered sugar
red food coloring
green sugar sprinkles or green decorative sugar

Preheat the oven to 200 ° C top and bottom heat. Place the paper cups in the recesses of the muffin baking tray. Finely grate the chocolate and mix with the flour, cocoa powder, gingerbread spice and baking powder. Whisk the eggs with the sugar and the oil. Quickly stir the flour-chocolate mixture under the egg mass, adding the rum and, if necessary, enough milk to break the dough off the spoon. Spread the dough into the paper cups in the muffin tin and bake in the hot oven on the middle rack in 20-25 minutes (make a stick sample!)
In the meantime knead the marzipan paste with the powdered sugar and the food color until the marzipan has a strong red color. Roll out the marzipan dough on a work surface dusted with icing sugar about 5 mm thick. Cut out 12 little stars. Roll out the remaining marzipan into a thin skein, cut into even pieces and roll small balls out of the pieces. Fill the semi-solid chocolate mass in a piping bag with star grommet and spray the muffins circularly. Sprinkle with the red marzipan balls and the green sugar sprinkles.

Carefully lift the muffins out of the muffin tin and allow to cool on a wire rack. For the garnish, chop the white chocolate and place in a bowl. Bring the cream to a boil, let cool briefly and pour over the chocolate. Stir the chocolate until it has melted. Add the butter. Stir the white chocolate mixture with the blender until it shines. Covered in a refrigerator, let it solidify.
